The collapse of Rochas Okorocha's fraudulent Empire

The collapse of Rochas Okorocha's fraudulent Empire
Governor Rochas Okorocha's fraudulent Empire in Imo State spiritually collapsed the day one his substandard overhead bridge collapsed under him. Okorocha built his empire on deceit, corruption and falsehood. Like the proverbial house of cards, the empire is collapsing right under him. Okorocha desecrated the land and the land is coming after him.

For almost four years Okorocha deceived denizens of Imo State while enriching himself and family. But like a house of cards his empire is already collapsing. He claimed to build roads the turned out to be death traps. The most prominent achievement the administration of Governor Okorocha of Imo State has been touting is 'massive' road construction and rehabilitation. However, it has emerged that the roads just like every other thing Okorocha has claimed to have achieved in Imo State has been mere fraudulent and boastful claim. The roads have been denounced as massive frauds that were used to siphon money from the state by Okorocha and his cronies. The roads have actually exacerbated the problems of transportation in the state as the author expressed in the piece below.
Okorocha's wonder roads

Okorocha, the so called rescuer, people friendly and oriented governor of the state has been involved in so many obvious cases of misappropriation of funds as allocated to Imo by the federal government for the good of the people of the state.
Okorocha embezzled the entire local government allocations from the federal government to individual LGAs which runs into billions of Naira. Below is a breakdown of the allocations to LGs since 2011 to date.

Aboh Mbaise -5,592,914,085.45 billion.
Ahiazu Mbaise- 4,893,694,597.34 billion.

Oru West-4,646,145,112.23billion.
Owerri Municipal-4,622,009,470.68billion.
Owerri North-5,103,710,965.71billion.
Owerri West-4,782,559,065.16billion.

These monies, which were never released to the local government areas as designated have never been accounted for till today and no one has had the effrontery to ask.
Because of the above, the local government system in Imo state today has collapsed. A visit to all local governments in the state at the moment will be like a visit to a ghost town. No serious activities or even businesse go on in the councils that used to be a beehive of activities while battered or low staff morale has forced the staff into laziness and truancy.

Okorocha essentially killed the local government system through which the true dividends of democracy would have trickled down to the average Imo man.

Related Stories:

He claimed to be paying pensioners, many of them are dying of hunger on a daily basis. Okorcha rather used pensioners as objects of caricature and deception. As it currently stands, Okorocha's government is owing pensioners, particularly primary School teachers especially the SPEB and SUBEB teachers over 13 months pension arrears. Some of these retired teachers told Verbatim that the government at a point issued them with a dud Diamond bank cheque for one of the months owed them.

He sold Imo assets to his Islamic brothers, in turn he builts mosques, even in the Imo State Government House. He borrowed money from Islamic bank, which he has been using to induce Imo indigenes to convert to Islam. Okorocha gave approval for a mosque to be built very close to the Monumental Assumpta Catholic Cathedral in Owerri. This is what no Muslim governor can improve or even allow a catholic church to be built in his state. It should also be very disturbing that Okorocha paid two million Naira each to about seventeen youths of Imo who converted to Islam on the 16th of November, 2013 at the National Mosque, Abuja.

Okorocha's has committed so many atrocities in Imo State that the gods of the land are after him. They fired a warning shot at him, when he narrowly escaped death on his fake bride.

The pedestrian bridge built by Okorocha at Heroes’ Children’s Park, opposite Concorde Hotel, collapsed under the governor. The incident happened when the governor stopped over on his way to the NUJ Governorship Debate to interact with some students of Development Comprehensive Secondary School, Owerri, who were around the park when he came. When the governor took the students up the bridge to teach and inspire them on how to become leaders, the bridge caved in with the iron bracing of the bridge cut under the weight of the governor and the students. Other structures constructed by Okorcha such as the Akachi Road Bridge and several buildings (including the multi-million naira Imo Film Academy, a new security gate being constructed behind the main entrance gate to the Government House; office complex being constructed in the Imo State University campus, Owerri as well Princess Hotel Okigwe) constructed by the governor in the state had collapsed. Meanwhile, Okorocha has pocketted huge sums of money from the projects.

The physical collapse of Okorocha's Empire has been destined by God to happen in two days time, when Ndi Imo will shove out of the Douglas House. Okorocha lost the election the day he openly insulted Igbo-Speaking Biafrans for supporting Goodluck Jonathan. He will be humiliated out of office just like he has humiliated Biafrans. It is high time he went back to his true Hausa-Fulani brothers.
